Whatcom Homefront is dedicated to providing an ongoing message of support, appreciation, and recognition to the men and women from our county who are serving in the Afghanistan/Iraq theaters.

Since November of 2003 we have been sending regular care packages about every 6 weeks. The names of the Whatcom County connected troops have been submitted by family and friends and represent all branches of the Armed Forces.

The care packages contain food items, personal care items, reading material, cards, letters, and other small items that will let them know that someone from home is thinking about them.

A soldier deployed to a war zone loves mail and needs to hear from his community that his/her commitment and service to our country is appreciated. This isn't about politics, this is about sending a message to individuals who are fulfilling their commitment to go wherever and whenever they sent.
